Sydney-born designer & digital artist Peter Gould founded Azaan to explore his passion for contemporary graphic design, art, photography and the rich visual & spiritual traditions of Islam.
Since embracing Islam in 2002 his travels and studies throughout the Muslim world have inspired a unique cultural fusion that is reactive to a world of misunderstanding. Peter's work has reached many audiences locally and abroad through exhibitions, appearances, graphic design projects and collaborations with other artists. Download summary profile.
Peter's portfolio includes his photography, artwork, and his graphic & web design studio, which services a broad range of clients locally and internationally. He also owns and runs the award-winning commerical design studio Creative Cubed.

24.06.10: Peter has completed branding work for the upcoming ISNA convention in Chicago which is expected to attract over 30,000 people. He will exhibit artwork in the foyer and have a booth in the bazaar area. View here
15.5.10: Peter’s studio has designed new branding for multi-million album selling artist Sami Yusuf. Peter has worked closely with Sami to develop creative elements for the cover, inlay and new promotional material. View here
25.5.10: Peter will be exhibiting at Reviving the Islamic Spirit,, Los Angeles having recently completed branding and promotional material for the event attended by over 20,000 people. View here
6.5.10: A series of Peter’s work is now hanging at London’s MICA Galley. The South Kensington Gallery showcases a range of award-winning visual artists from Muslim backgrounds. Read more
1.5.10: Peter has returned to Sydney after spending three months in San Francisco presenting to a wide range of audiences including Berkeley, Silicon Valley, East Bay and meetings at Apple Inc, Stanford University among others.

21.2.10: The most recent CSP event was a huge success. Peter is the co-founder of the program which featured Imam Zaid Shakir and a range of inspiring speakers, including a special video message from Sami Yusuf.

15.10.09: Peter designs branding, signage, posters, programs and banners for RIS in Toronto attended by over 30,000 people. Peter will also attend and exhibit 12 artworks in the main entrance and registration area. Sample

1.10.09: Completed 'Many Roads Home' charity book cover & branding design project for Singapore-based Muhammadiyah Welfare Home, helping children to overcome adversity through inspirational true stories.
10.9.09: Series of website updates posted including revised design portfolio with recent US projects, new photography from recent travels to Abu Dhabi, Oman and Dubai.
1.9.09: Launching Eastern Fusion 2009: A series of events, lectures and creative workshops to be held in November. The progam will include a range of international guests including artists, scholar and musician. Azaan is the co-founder & key sponsor of Eastern Fusion.
